India

Why this unit?
India
is home to one of the world's earliest river valley civilizations -- the Indus
culture. It is also the birthplace of two of the world's most interesting and
influential religions -- Hinduism and Buddhism. Finally, India is important in
the modern world because it is the fastest growing nation, the world's largest democracy, and an emerging nuclear power. This unit will make you
aware of the history of India from ancient times to the present.
