Webquest: A Tour of Jerusalem
by Rick Riordan, Saint Mary's Hall
Introduction | The Task | Resources | The Process: Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Armenian | Conclusion
You and your friends have just arrived in Jerusalem!
Your tour bus drops you off at Jaffa Gate at noon and tells you to be back before dark -- around 6 P.M. -- when you will be taken to dinner at the hotel.

Your driver tells you he can bring you back to the Old City again tomorrow morning, but you'll only have time to hit three different sites before driving off to your next stop -- the Dead Sea.
There is no way you can explore the entire Old City in one afternoon! Not only that, but you have no idea which three sites would be the most interesting to revisit the next morning.
To see as much as possible, you and your friends decide to split up. Each of you will lead a group into one of the Old City's four corners. You will need to decide who will visit the Christian Quarter, the Jewish Quarter, the Muslim Quarter, and the Armenian Quarter. You will then meet your other friends back at Jaffa Gate at 6 P.M. and compare notes. Together, you will need to decide the top three most interesting sites in Jerusalem, so you can visit them again together in the morning.
